Palin Forces Obama to Give Media Allies Vote of No Confidence
Why would Obama go on the O’Reilly Factor? What possible reason could explain why he would subject himself to real questioning, which he never gets from the mainstream media? (AP/ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/MSNBC/NYT/WASH.POST/ETC.).
Only one reason explains it . . . the mainstream media is much weaker than it realizes. They simply do not have the credibility with the American people to push him into the White House, and Obama knows it. The mainstream media tried to take Sarah Palin out with crushing brutality. They summoned all of their resources, most prominent “journalists,” pundits, air time, magazine covers, blogs and newspaper headlines, gave her the strongest series of blows they could deliver, and the result was a fifty-eight percent approval rating for the Alaskan governor, higher than both Obama and McCain. Palin reinvigorated the Republican Party that was headed for likely defeat.
When any giant, seemingly unaccountable organization becomes too arrogant to listen to the people, the downfall becomes likely. There comes a tipping point, when no reasonable person can deny the allegations, when most people believe the corruption is thorough, indefensible and can no longer continue, when the only solution is termination.
Millions of Americans have reached that point with the mainstream media and have permanently terminated every ounce of their reliance on them for information. The big newspapers and television networks have lost readers and viewers by the millions. Their ratings and circulation numbers are heading south at a grade that must terrify them.
The mainstream media assumes that they are too intricately woven into the American fabric to ever lose their place in the discussion. They are wrong. Nothing so dramatic as a resignation or an indictment will signal their final demise, but a series of events certainly can indicate a devastating loss of influence. One of those events happened this week, the Sarah Palin rise to national fame.
Maybe the Alaskan whistle blower has delivered a devastating blow to her biggest, nastiest, most dishonest giant yet, the liberal media. They must learn how to be fair or their influence will continue to degrade until they become nothing more than just another voice in a country with millions of them. We may have already reached that point.
