Ref's Poll Notes

While the first poll taken completely after the Obama "clinging to guns and religion" comment showed a twenty-point lead for Clinton, other polls show a smaller bounce or no bounce at all.  Obama's comments probably ended any chance of a Pennsylvania upset, but they have not sunk his candidacy for the nomination.

Obama Talks About Rumors - Does not address Ayers or Jeremiah Wright, perhaps Obama realizes now that these are not just petty issues.

Dream Ticket Sounds Good to Many Democrats (Except the Candidates) - The "Dream Ticket," considering all of the hits delivered by each candidate toward the other, would not work.  McCain could simply pick up where the VP candidate (probably Clinton) left off in his or her attacks.  McCain is already going to do that but if the defeated opponent is the VP nominee, the attacks' effectiveness would increase substantially and would become a major storyline throughout the rest of the campaign

What's the Matter With Obama

McCain: A Question of Temperament - McCain has cover on all of these angry incidents.  He can defend his anger on the grounds that he was fighting in the voters' interest in most cases.  Many of those involved are supporting McCain. There are also no recordings of these angry outbursts. Not to mention that Americans like a politician with some fire.
